Rydym ni’n credu bod priodas yn rhodd gan Dduw a bod priodi yn ymrwymiad hardd, personol ac ysbrydol. Byddem wrth ein bodd yn eich helpu i wneud diwrnod eich priodas mor gofiadwy â phosibl.
Mae diwrnod eich priodas yn debyg o fod yn un o ddigwyddiadau hapusaf a mwyaf cofiadwy eich bywyd, ac ym mywydau eich teulu a’ch ffrindiau. Byddem wrth ein bodd pe baech chi’n dewis cynnal eich seremoni briodasol yn un o’n heglwysi hardd, a byddwn yn gwneud popeth o fewn ein gallu i wneud eich priodas mor arbennig â phosibl.
Yn yr adran hon, gallwch ddysgu beth ddylech chi ei ystyried wrth i chi ddechrau cynllunio a pharatoi ar gyfer eich priodas yn yr Eglwys yng Nghymru.
Bydd priodi yn un o’n tair eglwys hardd nid yn unig yn sicrhau bod eich seremoni yn digwydd yn rhai o leoliadau mwyaf prydferth a nodedig Cymru, ond bydd hefyd yn golygu y bydd eich seremoni briodasol yn llawn dyfnder ac ysbrydolrwydd. Fel rhan o’r gwasanaeth priodas byddwn yn gofyn i Dduw eich bendithio chi a’ch tywys wrth i chi ddechrau ar eich bywyd priodasol, ac yn gweddïo y bydd Duw yn gwmni i chi ar eich taith drwy fywyd.
Bydd ein ficeriaid a’u timau’n treulio amser yn dod i’ch adnabod cyn eich diwrnod mawr fel y gallan nhw eich helpu i wneud eich dathliad priodas yn un unigryw. Mae yna sawl ffordd o wneud hynny, ac mae amrywiaeth eang o weddïau, darlleniadau, emynau, caneuon a cherddoriaeth ar gael i chi. Rydym wedi cynnwys rhai awgrymiadau i chi isod. Yn ogystal ag elfennau penodedig y seremoni gallwch ychwanegu rhai geiriau ac addewidion ychwanegol i rannu gyda’ch gilydd – chi piau’r dewis.
Mae yna rai gofynion cyfreithiol ar gyfer priodi yn un o eglwysi yr Eglwys yng Nghymru ond peidiwch â phoeni, fe drafodwn ni bopeth gyda chi.
Mae llawer o eglwysi’n cynnig cyrsiau paratoi i’ch helpu i fod yn barod am briodas. Weithiau maen nhw’n cynnwys cyfarfod â’ch ficer, neu aelodau eraill o dîm yr eglwys. Yng nghyd-destun ein bywydau prysur, mae cyrsiau paratoi o’r fath yn ein helpu i neilltuo amser pwysig i ystyried bywyd priodasol a pharatoi ar ei gyfer.

Getting married in one of our three beautiful churches will not only ensure that that your ceremony takes place in some of Wales’ most beautiful and distinctive settings, but also that that your marriage ceremony is full of depth and spirituality. As part of the marriage service, we will ask God to bless and guide you as you begin your married life, and we’ll pray that God will accompany you on your journey through life together.
Our vicars and their teams will spend time getting to know you ahead of your big day so that they can help make your marriage celebration unique to you. There are lots of ways to do that, with a wide variety of prayers, readings, hymns, songs and other music to choose from. We’ve included some suggestions for you below. In addition to the set elements of the ceremony, you can add some additional words and promises to share with one another if you choose to.
There are some legal requirements for getting married in a Church in Wales church but please don’t worry, we’ll take time to talk through everything with you.
Many churches offer preparation courses to help you get ready for marriage. Sometimes they involve meeting with your vicar, or it might involve other members of their church team. Within the context of our busy lives, preparation courses such as these help provide important time and space to think about, and prepare for, your married life.
